MY GLITCH IN THE MATRIX

My favourite pair of shoes is my first pair of red bottoms. I was about 18 when I got them, and I was ecstatic. They’re so sleek and beautiful and make me tower like a skyscraper lol. They’ve taken me on adventures around the globe, exclusive places, secret rendezvous, exotic destinations. I wore them to meet my paramour at the time… and I wore them on the plane when I moved from the UK to the US. I didn’t care that everyone looked at me like I was mad. (After all, the best of us are). And this is how they look now, 10 years later and still in perfect shape. I’ve cared for them and kept them lovely. I wonder where they’ll take me to next?
